Collaboration Leads to New Legacy Guide for Older Adults

July 21, 2020

The historic nature of the COVID-19 pandemic offers a unique opportunity for reflection, particularly for older adults, who have much to teach us about sacrifice and resilience. With that in mind, the Adult Advocacy Centers, the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Ashland County and Dr. Diana Spore have worked together to create a new publication, A Guide to Leaving Your Mark Through Legacy Writing and Projects.

The guide considers reasons to create a legacy project, ideas for getting started and links to related workbooks developed by MHRB of Ashland County. Although the collaborators developed it for older adults, including those with dementia, we hope it will be a great resource for anyone who wants to consider how they want to be remembered.
